Letea Forest & wild horses

Boat transfer to Letea village, then a 4×4 safari through the dunes up to the protected forest and its wild horses.

Beach, the Old Lighthouse, the Cosmopolitan Cemetery and the European Danube Commission Palace.

The wildest area, the richest bird and plant habitat in the Delta.

Saint Athanasius Monastery

An isolated monastery in the middle of the Delta — pure quiet.

Day by day

Day 1 — Tulcea → Mila 23

Arrival at Tulcea (Port Tulcea Aval) at 3.00 PM, boats leave for Mila 23 at 3.30 PM on a scenic route (~1h30). Check-in, fisherman's dinner. Right after dinner, short boat trip ending with sunset on a nearby lake.

Day 2 — Letea & Sulina

Breakfast at 8.30. Departure at 9.30 by boat to Letea village. 4×4 safari to Letea Forest (chance to see the wild horses). Continue to Sulina, free time on the boardwalk, beach, lighthouse. Return to Mila 23. Dinner at 7.00 PM.

Day 3 — Channels & monastery

Breakfast at 8.30. Boat trip through the Mila 23 lakes & channels and visit to the Saint Athanasius Monastery. Lunch at 1.30 PM. Free afternoon (Mila 23 village, Ivan Patzaichin Museum, fishing from the pier). Traditional Romanian dinner and recital by the Lipovan Choir.

Day 4 — Mila 23 → Tulcea

Breakfast at 8.30. Departure to Tulcea at 10.00 AM, arrival by 11.30 AM.

Children policy

  • Up to 5 years — 25% of the package price (in matrimonial double room)
  • 5 – 12 years — 50% of the package price
  • 12 – 14 years — 75% of the package price
  • Over 14 years — full price

Good to know

  • Drinks are not included (except coffee/tea at breakfast and still water at lunch & dinner).
  • Parking in Tulcea is not included (about 40 RON/car/day).
  • Excursions run regardless of the weather; order and timing may change.
  • Optional: extra trip to the Danube's mouth at sea — 65 RON/person, min. 8 adults, weather permitting.
  • Optional: extra trip to Lake Fortuna — 100 RON/person, min. 6 people.
  • Single occupancy in a double room: +400 RON / stay. Two people in a triple room: +250 RON / stay.
  • Card payments accepted at the guesthouse (POS). No ATM in Mila 23.
  • Reservation confirmed with 30% advance payment (non-refundable).
  • We do not accept pets.
